It’s a widespread symptom...from sports plays to incidents like this, everybody has their own “truth”. Even in the face of video evidence, people just see what they want to see. Have you seen the footage of the shooting in St. Louis? The robbery suspect is walking towards police with a knife in his hand. He gets refuses to stop and gets about 10 ft. away and the cops shoot him. The CNN reporter’s respsonse? “Well, he wasn’t charging them, only walking, and he didn’t raise the knife”. People are just plain nuts.
Same reporters would have a different attitude if the suspect pulled a knife on THEM, and a cop was standing nearby politely asking the man to put down the knife.
Their ‘response’ would be “SHOOT HIM YOU IDIOT”.
