Ronnie Earle was Ann Richards hatchet man. He went after rats that got in her way, not as a matter of Law Enforcement but of political assassination. Republicans were expected to be targeted, but rats had better toe the line, or else!

To have Perry appoint an replacement would have been grand, as there was much swamp-draining and deadwood-cutting in such a rat infested boiler room. But, alas...

This indictment is transparently corrupt and all it serves to do is put the drunk DA back in the spot light for ridicule.

I dunno. Now the b@st@rds have suspended Gov. Perry’s CHL because of this indictment.

[Self-moderated comment.]

The same old crew of Perry haters will cheer that news.

One of the jurors is a DIMocRAT activist who was active in that role while on the “grand” jury. Sure...impartial. Sure.

This unit should be set up under the Texas AG. It investigates public corruption,
insurance fraud, and motor fuels tax fraud. Several attempts have been made to do
that but hasn’t been successful. I’m not sure why outside of political power.

They issued something over 400 indictments in 2013 I read somewhere but can’t point you
to the article now. Also Earle indicted some 19 politician of which five
were Republicans of which
Tom DeLay would be the most prominent.
