I don’t know how it would tie in, maybe given a deadline, etc. but it is a little suspicious, especially since they are acknowledging they knew about the threat prior. A news report last night said “Obama was briefed on the killing while on AF1, returning to MV.
I think that could be a possibility.. Nothing else reasonable has surfaced from his quick trip back to DC - and it was planned well in advance.
I think David Cameron of the UK came off of his vacation and this event was specifically referenced. So there might be something to the idea that Obama returned for this reason.
