A Pattern Develops in Ferguson: Things Turn Ugly at Night
National Review ^ | 08/20/2014 | Ryan Lovelace

Ferguson, Missouri. — The protests here were calm and orderly Monday evening, until the sun went down and things heated up.

During the day, protesters walked in a line on the sidewalk along West Florissant Street, but at night they moved into the streets and marched up the road. Police formed a line and engaged in a tense standoff with protesters at the intersection of Ferguson Avenue and West Florissant Street. After a few unruly protesters began hurling water bottles and other items at police, the cops removed three protesters right away for inciting a riot. Protesters grabbed one man and pushed him forward toward the police line, and turned him in to police.

In the chaos, several officers appeared ready to make a move, but others ordered them to stand down. Police eventually responded to violence that escalated further down the road, and ordered people in the area to leave immediately. At an early Tuesday morning press conference, Missouri Highway Patrol captain Ron Johnson, who’s in charge of the policing situation, said 31 people had been arrested — coming from places as far away as California and New York — and two people had been shot. It remains unclear who fired the shots, but NBC News has reported that approximately 78 people were arrested last night.

But the events in Ferguson are beginning to form a pattern. During the day, people protest in a non-violent fashion that makes it seem as though things are finally calming down. When the sun sets, people grow violent and turn on police. After multiple days of this pattern, it’s difficult to understand why police have not yet found a way to contain the violence on the ground.

Don’t those folks have jobs to go in the morning?

Oh yeah, nevermind.

Water by day. Alcohol by night.

Likely Gatorade by day....because they’re all super stars sports people.

But alcohol by night. Plus they’re used to spending the night awake - it’s not like the obama economy has provided them with actual jobs.

dusk to dawn curfew- D’OH!

Or establish “free speech protest zones” some distance away in a fenced in area ... Didn’t the demo thugs do that during one political convention?

The democrat governor Nixon has all this on his head

Why are they still protesting? They wanted the name if the officer released. They got it. Now they want charges levied. Okay. So what they are protesting, from what I have seen thus far, is our system and how it is supposed to work. They want mob rule, and they will get it with Holder and Nixon involved. The rule of law is dead in this country, and every American should be afraid. It could be any one of us, now.

Actually, a bit of silver lining in the whole Ferguson fiasco is that it removes the headlines from Israel and they can go about their business with a little less scrutiny.

They are still protesting because communist agitators from Chicago and NYC are in town egging the locals on.

They want the St Louis county prosecutor to indict the officer for murder.

IMO
So far, there has been no internal Ferguson police department shooting report issued. If it is ruled a clean shoot ( a little CSI lingo there) there can be no criminal indictment.

In 1968 the brothers rioted in DC, our gov in Maryland put State Police on the border with orders to shoot to kill, guess what, the rioters didn’t cross the line, while a shopping center on the DC line was burning, one across the street in Maryland was open for business.

They’re worse than animals. Animals attack others for a valid reason - to eat, defend or cull the weak.

This helps one understand Margaret Sanger.

It’s Whitey’s fault. They were slaves 150 years ago.

Rulings and facts mean nothing. The narrative is the only story. If the narrative turns out to not be the case, it is still the case.

They are still slaves, to the Democrats. Any idiot could look around their community, schools, families and see that whatever they have been voting for, they aren’t getting it.
