We have heard (from a VERY connected national media source) that Ferguson officer Darren Wilson will be cleared in the shooting of Michael Brown. The key: Dorian Johnson has now admitted that Michael Brown attacked Officer Wilson and attempted to take his gun. OFFICER WILSON WILL NOT BE CHARGED! This is scary. When this news is made official, we all have reason to be concerned about the reaction.

The demographics have changed from majority white to majority black in the past decade or two.
It takes time for job turnover to kick in. And I’d guess lower percentages of blacks apply even today.

I recognize that finding qualified black officers may be difficult. And at any given time there may be better qualified white officers.
But when the racial disparity is that large, it creates distrust. And then race becomes a qualification. It doesn’t look to me like they have been trying very hard. Could be wrong, but I bet Holder’s group is looking at that aspect. And as much as I dislike Holder, and think he’s a racist, they should look at that.

He might retract his story if evidence to the contrary has become so strong that he could be looking at perjury charges, or lying to the authorities in a criminal investigation.
Could be his lawyer after the autopsy showed he lied when he said the thug was shot in the back!!
I understood it was over a 40 year period. In 1970, Ferguson was 98% white. The officer who shot the thug, has only been on the force 6 years. I’m not buying that most of the force has been there 40 years or even 20 years.
They need to try harder, and my guess is that Holder will bring EEOC charges against them.
But I heard on Megyn Kelly tonight, I think from the coroner, that he did receive one shot in the back. Maybe I heard wrong, but I thought he said that the autopsy did not provide any conclusive evidence to either side.

2014 - 69% black population in Ferguson
2016 - 99% black population in Ferguson
You are talking about firing people quickly and ending careers all for a quota system. It takes time. Ten to fifteen years from now this department would have been 80% black even without this incident.

I’ve heard the autopsy report numerous times and it has always been all shots from the front. There was one report that it was inconclusive that his hands were up but that’s all. Reports seem to back up the officers story!!
It was someone on with Megyn Kelly tonight - not sure who he was. Maybe just A coroner. He seemed to be informed of what the autopsy revealed.
No, I haven't recommended firing anyone. Nor have I recommended a quota system. Don't put words in my mouth. I'd be surprised if they don't end up with a quota settlement. But I'd favor some incentives to get them to change hiring policies.
