I’ve read on other threads that the Ferguson Police Dept. was only about 5% black officers.
Can anyone confirm that?
If so it seems problematic in a community of 67% black folks.
How can you recruit more blacks when they aren’t getting the education for the job...it’s the same in every other area and profession...
Further many don’t want to go to Ferguson for it’s always full of problems of race.
I believe 3 out of 50 are ‘black’.
Speaking of police their presence must be costing 3 to 5 hundred thousand an hour for this dog and pony show.

That’s what I saw as well. Also, the demographic changes there have been quite rapid such that city council etc is still mostly white. Too bad these things are seemingly important - still.
Can't be helped. Most black cops around St. Louis don't want to work in Ferguson because it's dangerous.
