Although even Dershowitz and the NY Times think that the indictment is beyond silly doesn’t mean this is gonna end well for Perry. At least not in the political sense. This same drunken pig ruined Tom Delay, politically, and if my understanding of Austin juries and judges is correct he *will* be convicted. As with Delay, the damage will have already been done when the appeals court overturns the conviction ruling that the evidence presented was insufficient to justify a guilty verdict.

(sigh) It was a joke - a play on the word 'disheveled'. Hence the term 'heveled'.

It would be hard to estimate the dollar amount of free publicity the Democrats just gave Governor Perry.

Life is good!

Read my post again.

I caught it the first time. Worthy of P.G. Wodehouse. It left me gruntled.

When the Aggie Mafia gets through with the Austin Whimp Crowd they will wish they had left this alone.

LOTS of Texas political blowback coming to the ComDem Nuts.

That gave me a huge chuckle, DFWgator.

I look at that pic and see a smiling mouth...but his eyes tell another story.

With a screen name like yours I'm willing to assume that you know a lot more about Texas...and Texas politics...than do I.However,it *must* be acknowledged that this very same pig *succeeded* in ruining Tom Delay, politically speaking, using the very same tactics. Are you saying that she won't succeed in her attempt to ruin Perry *politically*? I understand that she may not succeed in having him do jail time.I'm not even convinced that she wants to see him do jail time.I'm talking politically.

I seriously doubt it.

Please cite a LEGITEMATE source (and no slang or urban slang dictionaries or Ebonics-type horse manure allowed).

BTW, spellcheck just informed me that Ebonics must be capitalized!!

You can’t equate Perry with Tom Delay, who was tarnished even within his own party. Perry is the real deal, and he will turn this thing around and become everyman’s hero. He’s got balls and integrity. He’s not slick, which is what hurt him the last time, but we aren’t in the mood for slick right now. We need someone with the guts to do the right thing, every day.

Great pic. With a little lightening up/enhancing the lighting shadows, it’ll look like a professionally taken portrait!

This may be just the excuse the Texas legislature needs to move the Public Accountability Office out of Travis county.

I may sound like a broken record and have stated this on every Perry thread.....

If you are a Texas Freeper, please contact your state senator and rep, and request that they initiate/participate in legislation to transfer the so called "public integrity" function form the Travis County DA's office to the Texas AG, where it belongs.

Not guilty!

That has nothing to do with why he’ll get my vote though.

He tried to do the right thing despite knowing there would be repercussions.

We need more men and women who will stand up and do the right thing.

Godspeed Governor Perry.

This needs to go out to all TX FReepers. This ^^ is what makes the Travis Cty DA office the most powerful in the state, correct? Doesn’t it have to do with voting? (IIRC)

That office (TCDA) should NOT wield such power.

Has our state legislature tried to pass this legislation before?

With the spotlight on Perry, this would be an ideal time for him to endorse Ted Cruz for 2016.

Thanks. Ronnie Earl. Of course.

I see where (then) Sen Dan Patrick tried (unsuccessfully) to move state corruption probes to the AG, where they SHOULD be.

Calling my Reps about this. Thanks.
