With no warning for residents, military helicopters flew low Monday evening over St. Paul and Minneapolis in a federal training exercise, about which officials released almost no information.
The exercise -- reportedly involving U.S. Navy Seals with Army pilots, engaging in rappelling exercises in an urban setting -- began just before 8 p.m. and was scheduled to last until midnight.
The St. Paul police watch commander initially had no information on the exercise. He was later informed that it was a training exercise involving Homeland Security and local law enforcement.
. . . Many downtown residents said they were shocked and afraid at the sudden sight of military helicopters flying so near to their buildings.
Lynda Hanner, who lives on the 27th floor of City Walk Condominiums at 66 E. Ninth St., was surpised to see a helicopter flying just outside her window.
"At first I thought he was in distress -- in the process of crashing," Hanner said. "It was very frightening. They were playing dangerous games in my back yard, and I didn't appreciate it."

Those helicopters didn't look very military to me.
Yeah. And how dare they not expect to be cheered when they exhibit such haughty arrogance over the people who are paying for their extensive helicopters and training, when they need to come snarling in violent confusion without extending the courtesy of telling people to be expecting the equivalent of a barking Rottweiler right outside your door, only on a much larger scale. Heaven forbid! They're only training!
And by golly, when they fill you with a line of crap for explanation, you swallow it and say think you!

We have large military planes and helicopters that fly right over our house
every once in a while, but we are below their airlane, so we can’t complain.
Since we live in the Middle of Nowhere, Ohio, it’s not so bad.
Notification was made, DHS screwed up the notification and didn’t ensure both St Paul and Minneapolis both got the word, and the locals screwed up by not passing the word..
But hey, don’t let your paranoia get in the way of your hatred towards the troops and desire to send them into combat without proper training.
Here’s your choice:
a) Reply with another silly emotional childish rant thereby demonstrating to the world that your childish emotions drive you, or
b) Be a man and let it go since we both said our piece.
Now, I have a bet with my neighbor that you will cave into your inner child go for option ‘a’. . .you just can’t control yourself. . .come on. . prove me wrong.
