Texas Gov. Rick Perry plans to turn himself into authorities Tuesday afternoon at a local Texas jail on the heels of his indictment for alleged abuse of power, a member of the governor's legal team told Fox News.
The governor is expected to be processed quickly and to leave. He is not subject to an arrest warrant.

I wish Rick could avoid getting booked and taking that mug shot.If he had any balls, he would do just that.
The communists that started this should have been disappeared by now..
This is the only way to deal with the hard left.
Do you honestly believe a Democrat Governor would take a mug shot?

Perry MUST refuse to cooperate. Does he want his mug shot to be used in campaign ads?
And, just who in Texas is empowered to compel him?
Nay, DO NOT turn yourself in Governor!
I agree! He must creatively stuff them.

Perry 2016 is derailed as soon as he turns himself in.
+++++
Would seeing him frog marched to the jail change that?
To: Red Steel
Sure it will. Perry will put on a big smile and be dressed in a smart suit just like Tom Delay. What if they sneakily take the photo when he is not ready?

Do you think this could defeat Abbott and Patrick and elect Davis and Van de Putte? People are so uninformed that it could.

Simple. Perry should put on a permanent smile like Miss America contestant.
To: Christie at the beach
Perry was a Democrat until 1989 and may be a slow learner.

Perry ought to re-register as a Democrat so it can be said, “Democrat governor indicted...”

No matter what happens now, the ensuing mugshot will never disappear.
Since he’s not being arrested, won’t the mug shot be in street clothes?

Score a victory for the Democrats. I concur. No matter what happens at trial the Dems scored a big victory in the minds of many voters. It's doesn't matter whether he is guilty or innocent. It only because as Rush is always saying, "it is the seriousness of the claims".

He already is an authority. If he turns himself into authorities, will they take mugshots of all of him? Will they take one mugshot of all of the authorities he's turns himself into, or separate mugshots for each authority he becomes? Maybe he hopes they will take a mugshot of just one of him, and he can still run for president as one of the other authorities he turns himself into. Wait, I clicked the link, and the original story didn't say anything about him turning himself into anything. It said he turned himself in to the police. That's different. </Emily Litella>

You have hit it on the head. As Rush once said “If you have a “D” after your name you are the enemy.” So true, so true. Hopefully after the resolution conflict they will all run to Canada. :-)

No matter what happens now, the ensuing mugshot will never disappear. Best suggestion I've seen, given the unique circumstances... go in wearing a MADD t-shirt.

Well yeah, since some believe when Rats BS indict all rising Rs and conservatives with Moron grand juries and that it is such a "winner" fooling duh low information voter to end political careers.
To: factoryrat
I don’t think Gov. Perry can indict anyone. I believe only a judge /grand jury can do that. I could be wrong, however, of course. I often am.
