Texas Gov. Rick Perry plans to turn himself into authorities Tuesday afternoon at a local Texas jail on the heels of his indictment for alleged abuse of power, a member of the governor's legal team told Fox News.
The governor is expected to be processed quickly and to leave. He is not subject to an arrest warrant.

The Dems will use his MUG SHOT in campaign ads! PLUS, he will lose his right to carry his concealed gun, or hunt, or BUY any guns, till he is acquitted. The Austin police SWAT Team MAY also raid his home to confiscate his personal firearms.
Does he want his mug shot to be used in campaign ads?
And, just who in Texas is empowered to compel him?

I’m sure the combination of politics and law is above my pay grade, so to speak, but I just don’t understand the strategy here.
Not if he follows Tom Delay's example. Delay knew that the Dems couldn't wait to get their hands on a mug shot showing a scowling, guilty-looking Tom Delay that they could plaster all over the media. Instead, all they had to work with was a picture of a man who looked like he had just won the lottery.
This entire situation is purely ridiculous to the informed.
The liberals did this for the uniformed. Personally, I think
this farce will backfire on the dems. Perry should know Never

I'm on board with you. I just came off a chat room where one actually opined that the police officer in Ferguson had his cheek fractured at the station, in order to help with his side of the story.
Had to laugh at that one, Mr. Laz.
