On Hardball Monday, MSNBC contributor Michelle Bernard said the U.S. is on the verge of experiencing a “genocide” of young black men.
Bernard was on the program with the Washington Post’s Eugene Robinson to discuss the ongoing unrest in Ferguson, Mo., following the police shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown. Bernard, who is black, said her 11-year-old son had asked her recently if someone was going to shoot him, as was the case with Brown. ADVERTISEMENT
“I don’t have an answer that is palatable to be able to look my children in the face and say there are people in this country who– not only do not like African-Americans, but they despise black men,” Bernard said. “There is a war on black boys in this country. In my opinion, there is a war on African-American men.”
Host Chris Matthews wrapped up the segment, saying he wished that other Americans would listen to Bernard and Robinson, who had said both racial and economic elements are at play in the Ferguson turmoil.
“I hope so,” Bernard said, “because this is, it’s going to turn into a genocide if it doesn’t stop.”

Last night Bill O’reilly gave some interesting stats that really puts things in perspective. Last year there were around 400 police shootings of suspects out of 12,000,000 arrests nationwide (or 0.003%). Out of those the majority of suspects were White 47%, 2nd Hispanic 27%, 3rd Black 23% and Other 3%. Although as a percentage of the population, Blacks made up the higher percentage of arrests than whites or Hispanics, they actually had a much LESS chance of being shot during an arrest. As for Ferguson, this is the first recorded incident of a suspect being killed by police...EVER. So much for the narrative of black kids being gunned down in the streets of Ferguson on a routine basis...

None of it is even close to the truth. Why isn't that considered ‘inciting violence’? It should be.

Here’s an idea. Teach your 11 year old the basic fundamental aspects of life. And that means living the thug life will get you killed.
Young black men overwhelmingly murder other young black men.
90% of black homicide victims are killed by other blacks.
But, I suppose that’s one of those cultural things that would be “racist” to comment on if you’re not black... or even if you are.

Wouldn’t that make it a sort of “civil war” among blacks? Of course that would have to have designated sides and a goal or purpose. Black on black murders are senseless and stupid. Perhaps if they had true leaders and not the ilk of Jackson, Sharpton and Farrakhan they may be better members of society.
That’s the real genocide, but they’re A-OK with that.....
The “war” was started by the ghetto culture and lack of respect that young black men seem to have for everybody.
Maybe if people like this mother wouldn’t teach their children to have an eternal racial chip on their shoulder, then this wouldn’t be the case. Maybe.....
Then again, the media and “community” have nothing to say about the thousands of blacks already gunned down by their own so far this year. That’s more telling than anything going on in Ferguson.
