Is it an invasion if they are invited in? I don’t hear the Shiite government of Iraq complaining. Didn’t they sign a treaty of cooperation with Iraq?
My hope is we can stabilize the Kurdish area, and ISIL and the Iranians will slaughter each other for a long time to come.

The government of Iraq is far too cozy with the government of Iran. It was one reason I wasn’t particularly impressed with the selection of Maliki to lead the new government.

The Bush folks thought they knew better.

The guy lived in Iran for a long time. What did we expect?

The end result will be the same, invited in or not. Iraq will lose here. That’s my take on it.

And yes, it is an invasion anyway. We are allowing the citizens of South American to invade our nation. It’s still an invasion.
