In fact, if the press didn’t show up the protestors probably wouldn’t be there either.
This seems like a 1968 Chicago moment to me. Hope we have the ‘68 election backlash out of this attempt to race hustle up the Rat base political.

It looked to me like roughly 1/3 police, 1/3 “demonstrators” (including plenty of outsiders too, I am sure), 1/3 press, Amnesty International, etc., and one woman with an anti-Prop 7 sign who apparently got arrested - I’m not sure why - I can’t watch continuously.
