Under Putin, Russia's population is actually declining by close to one million persons per year. Wouldn't you leave if you somehow found yourself stuck there?

And, now, after screwing up his own country's economy, Putin wants to share his special magic with Russia's neighbors. The saving grace is that he will screw up this project like he's screwed up all his other projects.
