if not they better start taking down all the distracting ad billboards.
b/c that’s usually the bogus argument thrown out against them.

Freedom of speech is losing to the pro-censorship leftist fringe. It’s sad. I miss the Constitution and the rule of law.

‘You can’t hang that sign there, it is distracting to drivers.’
I turned and pointed to the electronic billboard, presently showing a ad for some campaign or another, a billboard so bright that it can almost blind a driver at night.
The officer turned and looked, then turned back to me, and stated the rule again, and I turned and simply walked away. ‘I’ll ticket you for littering!’ he declared, I turned back and said, ‘Do you need my ID to do that, officer? Here, let me get it for you. You can explain to the judge how I was littering by posting a political sign, distracting drivers with a piece of cardboard compared to a 80’ x 160’ electronic billboard. If you’d like to place bets on how fast the judge laughs, I’ll take the under five minutes.’
‘You’re loitering on a public bridge,’ he started, and I replied, ‘I was on the bridge long enough to post my sign and continue on until I stopped for your encounter. If you’re done, I would like to stop standing on the bridge and get off of it now.’
I’ve faced this intimidation and harassment multiple times now from officers, and every time encouraged them to cite me however many ways they want to, and each declined. I’m sure other people have other experiences, but sometimes, you just have to be willing to call them on their bluff, and be willing to stand up to the consequences.

I won’t be protesting on a bridge. The way people drive is the main reason of concern and not to freak out those good truck drivers. If anyone decides to do that, it’s your right, to do so (unless there are signs prohibiting pedestrians from being on that bridge).

Doesn't bother them a bit to have signs near a freeway if it's a government or business sign.
I realize there are some places that don't allow it. I don't see a problem as long as nothing winds up in the roadway.
Drop something off a bridge in traffic, and you could cause some massive problems.
Imagine the Lefties that protest in Washington, D. C. They'd probably toss their signs on the freeway when they were done.
