I'd like to see some Christians sell their cloaks (or equivalent) and buy Mosin–Nagant rifles and ammo for those Yazidi and Christians in Iraq and worldwide who cannot afford their own. Jesus does not tell us to center our lives on violence, but he does tell us we should have arms enough. These people and many others have focused too much on forgiveness (a central virtue but not Christ's entire message) and ignored a seemingly peripheral passage:

Luke 22:36,38 - Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one . . . And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.

If each of these Yazidi and each kidnapped or murdered Christian had been armed, the ISIS terrorists would have gone home or died - both of which are acceptable outcomes. Either outcome is enough in the sense that the Yazidi and the Christian families could go back to serving God, without being abused by Satan's forces, which is the goal.
