I've also noticed that the officer is never referred to as "white".
At least not in the beginning. I've pretty much changed the channel or turned the TV off whenever this story comes up but up till that time I don't think the officer was ever identified as white.
It seems like it's just assumed anymore.
Is the cop not really black? i thought that when his name was disclosed he was also determined to be a very capable black officer?
