Don’t get me wrong. I was just pointing out that Assad is certainly not a perfect “ally”. He sometimes works for and sometimes against US interests. The fact that he has sent the military to protect Christian communities against ISIS makes him our ally at this point. He is doing a helluva lot more to protect Christians than the Messiah that is for sure.
And that is why we want to keep Assad, unless we find someone better, in spite of what that useless McCain says.
