On the first real night of heavy looting and chaos in Ferguson Missouri a Quick Trip convenience store was looted and then burned to the ground. In sharing why, and explaining the motive, you can grasp an understanding of how the Ferguson “street talk” is driving the chaos.
A personal message to LEO: If Captain Ron Johnson and/or the authorities in/around Ferguson want to get out ahead of the thug behavior you only need to understand this simple outline and then deploy your digital forensics team – ASAP.
After the Quick Trip was destroyed the following message was spray painted on the side of the building:

Thirty nine year ago I was going north on Peoria to Sperry, I noticed a NEW large shopping center just north of APACHE st. on the west side of the road. It had everything a person needed in it, Spirits, fast food, Bellscott, and many other stores.
ONE year later I again went to Sperry an noticed this entire shopping center was abandoned, except for a liqueur store.
Noe Peoria, south of 44 is getting just as bad.
It is outrageous that in some urban communities thugs have to travel 10 miles or more just to steal healthy cigars.
We had a large contingent of Katrina refugees her about 9 years ago. For the first time in our history Walmart had to go on Lockdown as so many of them were trying to steal the place blind.
The Katrina camp had to bring in guards for the gates. It was said it was to protect the refugees but it was really to suppress internal crime brought in by the refugees.
Shall we have a rally? I mean the nerve of those greedy shop owners not rebuilding! So now the boys in the hood have to carjack their way to the burbs to steal cigars. I’ll tell you it just burns me up! /s

My question (”why the looting? why the _two_ stores in particular?”) is now answered (”retribution”).
I’m wondering whether that video with the background conversations will be admissible in any future trial. And of course there will have to be a trial. With the same sort of witnesses etc that we had in the Zimmerman trial.
Obama will now sue because the neighborhood is a “food desert” or whatever.
I think 2 things:
1. Police/FBI will find the anonymous talker and ultimately get him to testify via the usual police methods/pressure.
2. The video can be admitted based upon the testimony of the guy that took it.
Caveat: I’m not a lawyer.
The man in that video is unintelligible.
