My take:
First line of the NYT article,
“Michael Brown, the unarmed black teenager who was killed by a police officer”
Nice sensational leading sentence there.
Then:
“In my capacity as the forensic examiner for the New York State Police, I would say, Youre not supposed to shoot so many times, said Dr. Baden”
Really? If a guy is charging you (assuming here) and the first four don’t stop him (four in the arm, two in the head), what do you do? Warn him again?
And finally:
“No matter what conclusions can be drawn from Dr. Badens work, Mr. Browns death remains marked by shifting and contradictory accounts more than a week after it occurred”
From this very article; “A spokesman for the Ferguson Police Department, Tim Zoll, said the police had not seen a report of the autopsy and therefore had no comment on it.”
And; “The county of St. Louis has conducted an autopsy, and the results have not yet been released.”
So far the Police and the County haven’t given their ‘accounts’ yet so who’s accounts are “shifting and contradictory”?
The article talks about video footage and the live tweets. When did the false story about him being shot in the back get started? At least one person who saw what happened told another person there that Brown had turned around and made a run at the police officer. So the truth was being told by at least one witness in the immediate aftermath. So who were the people who were propagating the lie immediately, and recording only the people who were acting as if the lie was the truth?
