Five days after the death of Michael Brown, an unarmed 18-year-old fatally shot by a local police officer, President Obama joined state and national leaders in calling for changes to how police are dealing with protesters in Ferguson, Missouri, amid continued street clashes.
"I know that emotions are raw right now in Ferguson," President Obama said at a news conference this afternoon. "There is never excuse for violence against the police or for those who would use this tragedy as a cover for vandalism or looting. ... There is also no excuse for police to use excessive force against peaceful protests or to throw protesters in jail."
Obama's comments came as the FBI told ABC News that it issued a warning to police officers that a Black Panther leader was trying to incite violence against law enforcement in Ferguson, a suburb of St. Louis.

They’re not throwing “protestors” in jail, they’re throwing looters in jail. And apparently the genius Hussein has already figured out, ahead of a court and judge and jury, just what happened? For that matter, why does this POS never have anything to say when, for instance, two thugs shoot an infant in the face? Oh, the infant was white.

The police acted stupidly.
A real President would've said something such as "In this situation, a timely, full inquiry needs to occur. It is not possible unless everyone stays calm as we investigate and determine the circumstances"
FWIW, Cleveland has an over-response from police to a situation last year. It was handled pretty much as I described. EVERYONE (even community leaders) advocated calm. Good thing Obama didn't get involved.
Oh, and I haven’t yet followed up to verify it, but I have read that the PO in question is in the hospital.

Don't they have to be ASKED by a local official before they get involved in something like this? How the hell is this their jurisdiction?

As usual, the idiot knows no more than anybody else about the situation, but of course, we all knew what he was going to say anyway. In his mind, “excessive force” means preventing the rioters from destroying the town and killing police. They’re supposed to lie down and be happy because their lives are being taken by one of the sacred race - all that remains is for the rioting population there to convert to Islam and start chopping off heads, and Obama will faint with joy.
