If someone - like AA - has convinced you that you are a so weak and that a drug or alcohol will always be stronger than you, then nothing anyone else tells you will likely change your view of it.
The mental key to all addictions is that an addiction is seen as always looming massively large in the mind, to the addict, convincing the addict it is always stronger than they are, until, and unless, the person realizes THEY ARE THE ONES WHO MAKE it so massively large in their mind and they can unmake it if they want to, if they only just use their will to do so.
When does an addict really quit? When they realize they are the ones in control and they can chose to change, for once and for good.
It is an AA myth that no one ever stops being an alcoholic, for good, without an AA to “help them”. Millions do.
Yes, yes, of course. That is why said millions across the world say a prayer of thanks for the famous Wuli Method.
lol
AA never says we stop being alcoholic. There is a difference between a sober alcoholic and and active one. And I’m not weak you twit and AA doesn’t peddle that notion. What we are is powerless over alcohol. Now piss off, I’m done talking to you you wanker.
In my experience, as a recovering alcoholic, sobriety is achieved only when one becomes fully willing to subordinate personal will to God's will, and thank God there is a program that allows me to share the experience, strength and hope of other alcoholics in having done so.
You're certainly entitled to your opinion. I know what has been successful in my life, and has indeed, saved my life.
