And how do you know that "most support the Russian position"? This is what the Russians want people to believe because they tell the Russians what it is they support or do not support. Actually, the Maidan was made up of native Russian speakers as well as Ukrainians, Poles, Jews. The first guy to be shot by the Berkut was, in fact, from Afghanistan.
Furthermore, Pew, other polls and international groups have polled the folks in the East and the South. They also had an official election. All of the data shows that separatism is supported only by a minority of people. And these same people are either the poorest of the poor, or straight out Communists, hence the abundance of Soviet imagry.
So what do you have that disproves all of that? Your faith?
Not much there except lots of blather.
Official election? Words that mean nothing. More to the point you are misinformed (BIASED) but that is the least of your problems. In fact most polls (as flawed as they are) point to a distrust of the putschists in Kiev. But more importantly the people themselves want nothing to do the fascists in Kiev. And yes.. given the rebirth of Orthodoxy in Russia and Ukraine I am motivated by my faith.
