You don’t have to be an historian to see the dangers of a militarized police force, and it doesn’t require a scholar to decipher that both sides of this battle oppose the ideals that this country was founded upon.
I’m sure most of the police are decent men, and even many of the rioters are more misled than evil, but evil masquerades as good before being revealed. These kabuki plays set the scene for much larger tragedies and I,for one, have no desire for blood in the streets.

I have absolutely no doubt that the police were TOLD where to set up their SWAT line because there was going to be trouble there. The protestors/agitators/useful idiots where directed there for a confrontation, gas masks and all.
The alt media is eating this up as a heavy handed police action.

If we get a terrorist attack lets see if the MSM claims the terrorist are so in tune with the news they picked up on the protest and “spontaneously” planned the attack just like the “spontaneous” attack in Benghazi.
I commented earlier today that with ISIS hot and heavy in the social media the MSM media would be telling us how ISIS is keeping up with the US news on a minute by minute basis and any terrorist attack would be written off as a “spontaneous” response to a news event.
A regime that will plan an invasion of ‘unaccompanied minors’ is capable of anything ... treason is afoot and sadly Americans are clueless in general.

I am opposed to anarchy, looting, destruction of private property and I back LEO in getting order back into the town but there is in other cases random events where SWAT is acting under dubious circumstances. There are two books out on the increasing militarization of local police forces and bizarre equipment being purchased by local towns.The colonists resisted such powers being given to local police forces (lobsters) so we should be mindful of that in keeping with our history.
Community of 21,000 is kinda misleading. Ferguson is smack dab in the middle of the greater Metorpolitan Area. It is part of St. Louis County, which has lots of resources.
Buckeye, had been seeing a few live feeds then about an hour ago every live feed disappeared. The one feed have currently is a twitter. Something is going on involving a vehicle. Info is coming from reddit feed. Strange ... Heard about one hour ago for the live camera feed was watching to disconnect and feed disconnected. Have found no current live feed.
Looks like RAT-on-RAT violence.

The State can only rule by force.
That is the sum of political theory. Once you have the monopoly of violence, you can tell others what to do.
What we are seeing is that monopoly breaking down.
The interesting thing is that I really expected something like this to start at the Bundy ranch, not St Louis.
The Civil War is not the same thing as systematic extermination of hundreds of millions of innocent citizens by their own government.
