You have pointed out the entire issue with gays and conservatives...conservatives do not care who gays are, what they do, and that is the problem.
We conservatives resist the 'gay celebration' agenda...it is not enough to just say, "yah, yah, who cares? we don't care about your sexual orientation."
Conservatives are expected to endorse the gay agenda and adore gays.

That’s pretty much it. But this is the nature of all deviancy. Just mere tolerance is never enough. Give an inch, they take a mile. They now dictate what you teach about it in school, they demand private businesses cater to them whether they agree with it or not.
And if you don’t ‘celebrate’ it, you might as well be a member of the Taliban to them.
Then we’re vilified when we don’t.
