Just Facebook or all Social Media? This sort of thing is becoming the norm. It’s how these companies monetize. You don’t think your credit card company tracks your buying habits and sells them?

Credit card companies definitely do track their customers' buying habits and it's mostly a good thing. From several security incidents over the years I've discovered that they have a very good profile of my buying habits, so good they can instantly spot a bogus charge and flag it. Indeed, I've become so well trained thatI call them if I'm going to incur a large and unusual charge.
