I think the direct link to isolationism is a stretch, and weakened the piece. But I agree with over all thesis.

Good point - it really has NOTHING TO DO with Amnesty and the word is thrown around WAY TOO MUCH these days. For example, if you want to stay out of Syria (so that Bashir can defeat ISIS), you are now considered an “isolationist” by those that want ISIS to win.
