Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg just reiterated her plan to stay on the bench, but that didnt stop President Obama from making a prediction to Democratic donors.
Not to mention the fact that were going to have Supreme Court appointments, Obama said to motivate donors during a Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee fundraiser.
There are four Supreme Court justices over the age of 70, but Ginsburg, 81, has been the subject of the most recent retirement rumors which she recently tried to put to rest.
All I can say is that I am still here and likely to remain for a while, Ginsburg told Yahoo News, while indicating that she expects to remain on the bench for at least another year, meaning that Obama may have to push a nominee through a Republican-controlled Senate after the 2014 elections.
A Democratic strategist told the Hill that Ginsburgs retirement would benefit Obama if it came at the right time.
It would motivate our base, the strategist said, explaining that we have a huge drop off of voters because they dont care about Senate elections, or dont think they matter.
Obama made clear that he hopes the specter of a Supreme Court nomination fight will help motivate liberal voters, whom he once again described as congenitally disposed to ignore off-year elections.

What's he gonna do? Make 'em an offer they can't refuse? Before the Senate turns over in January, perhaps 2 or three NEW nominees as Mullah Obama sees his coup in jeopardy by a GOP senate and house from 2015.

Kennedy is the swing vote so he is more likely to get whacked. Replace him with a reliable communist liberal and everything will start to go 5-4 against us. Ruth Buzzie will croak soon enough that Obamamster can replace her with a younger communist.

Roberts, being easily blackmailed, has already turned the court when the progressive masters tell him how to vote, as in the obamacare vote.

Jarrett done told us they had two SC appointments on the ready, Every President has a short list for SCOTUS nominees at the ready, just in case.
If they do not, they are not doing their job.

Ruth will probably get whacked.
Doubt it. The woman is a Democrat partisan through and through.
Look to her to announce 7-10 days before the election that she'll step down at the end of this coming term.
It's already plotted and planned as a mid-term October surprise that will be perfectly timed to stampede the Dem base to the polls. There'll be wall-to-wall media coverage to drum up hysteria.
Her denials right now are to keep the prospects low-key until it's formally sprung for maximum advantage.

This is the main reason I was motivated to vote for Romney.

We NEED the Senate. Otherwise, the ‘Reid rule’ would do us in. Those tables need to be turned.

Ruth is beholden to Hillary Clinton for her seat on the court.
I'm skeptical that Ruth will roll over and resign to give Obama an appointment.
Besides, I think she loves the power and has not intention of resigning - ever.

I'm skeptical that Ruth will roll over and resign to give Obama an appointment. So am I. That's why I say she'd better watch her back and have extra bodyguards. Øbozo's brain has got to be sick and tired of waiting for her to die.

Yeah, I don’t know what Obama has on Roberts, but I suspect that may have met once in a Chicago bathhouse.

A GOP Senate will confirm almost anyone he puts up They would confirm Idi Amin or Robert Mugabe if Obama nominated them.
But they wouldn't confirm a patriotic constitutional conservative to save their souls.
