Does anyone remember me earlier on claiming that these geriatric politicians ought to retire for the good of the nation? This is one of the reasons why.
There is a logical explanation for these poll results. The primary that Pat Roberts won wasn’t so much based on ideology as it was that Roberts was no longer an authentic citizen of Kansas, but an elitist D.C. insider who had lost touch with the folks back home, which he obviously had. That kind of criticism crosses party lines. Wouldn’t it be ironic if we knocked off a bunch of ‘Rat incumbents, but didn’t get the Senate due to the defeats of Pat Roberts, Thad Cochran, and Mitch McConnell?
Exactly. And given Ras’s horrendous track record the last 3 cycles, this one is tied.
We MUST get rid of these old coots (said the old coot).
The alternative to Roberts was unacceptable in this contest, one reason why he was one of the very few incumbents I endorsed.
That’s what I’ve been predicting since they all voted to stop Ted Cruz during the CR debate. If I were in Kentucky, I wouldn’t vote for McConnell. If I were in Mississippi, I wouldn’t vote for Cochran. Well I am in Kansas, and I’m not voting for Roberts.
A majority that is a majority because of those fellows is a Governmant Party Senate. However the fancied divide between Democrats and Republicans the Government Party will have a supermajority.
I have a lot trouble believing Roberts is in genuine danger to a penniless nobody rat, the DA of Topeka, I’m shaking in my boots. I’d be a lot more worried if that airhead Wolf had won the primary, his mocking of people’s x-rays would become front page news.
I also doubt that swine Cochran is in any great danger, though he faces as strong a challenger as the rats could have found. Kentucky and the open seat in Georgia (where post-primary, Perdue has jumped into the lead) are the only GOP seats I see as competitive, and I think we’ll win them both. These are Republican states, they aren’t gonna vote to keep Obama’s lapdog Reid in power.
If I’m wrong then we have Wolf to thank for his ridiculous negative campaigning against Roberts, and the unpopular Governor Brownback for being a drag on the ticket.
