President Obama’s decision to launch airstrikes in Iraq, while backed by senior Hill leaders, has only underscored for his critics the consequences of waiting as long as he did to counter the growing threat of militants with the Islamic State – a group he once dismissed as a “JV team.”
After Fallujah fell, Obama gave his nonchalant response to The New Yorker, saying: “The analogy we use around here sometimes, and I think is accurate, is if a jayvee team puts on Lakers uniforms that doesn’t make them Kobe Bryant.”

It also reveals that he and his arrogant POS “advisers” likely spend a lot of time sitting around making fun of efforts by those they disdain (long list), calling them JV and worse.
“Seems Obama is just as clueless with his analogies as with everything else. Someone should tell him that the Lakers are now a lower half of the NBA team and that Kobe Bryant missed most all of the last season and it’s questionable whether he’ll ever be a top player again. “
And what is Obama doing? He is blaming the scouts for not telling him about the other teams star player.

I dont think people understand. The US government does not want ISIS to fail. They just don’t want them going after our troops.
It is obvious they want them to roll on down Iraq, take over Baghdad and then take on Iran.
Why would we want to bomb Iran (or have Israel do it) when we can get someone else to do it.
Once Baghdad is toppled, Iran will cross the border and take over the entire area. Or, ISIS will roll onto take out Tehran.
ISIS is a function of Saudi Arabia’s support for anti-Assad factions in Syria. I think they might be the virus that broke out of its beaker and it spreading way, way too fast.
But, the US government doesn’t care about ISIS.
It will be hard to explain the beheaded children in the fertile crescent. That is the part the “masters” were not expecting.
And Obama sure as heck doesn't want anyone telling him that he (Obama) let the other team's star player out of an Iraqi prison back in 2009. I expect several key Islamic State players were let out of prison by Obama, being the great healer and visionary he fancies himself to be.
