In a Project Veritas investigation released on Monday, James O’Keefe crossed the Rio Grande from Mexico to the United States disguised as Osama bin Laden. Dressed in the trademark military jacket and dishdasha and donning an Osama bin Laden mask, O’Keefe asks, “Do you feel safe” before stepping into the Rio Grande and easily walking across the border into the United States.
The investigation took place in Hudspeth County, Texas, at a crossing commonly used by illegal immigrants and drug smugglers. In less than one minute, O’Keefe crossed the river, which is only 2-3 feet deep and 20 feet wide in that area. The crossing is outside of Fort Hancock, Texas and only six miles from Interstate 10 on the American side. On the Mexican side, an access road comes within 100 feet of the river. Footprints, recent campsites, litter and well-worn paths mark both sides of the river where O’Keefe crossed.
O’Keefe was not confronted by a single member of U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
“If the President or Senator Reid or anyone else tries to tell you that our borders are secure, they are lying to you.
“Border security is national security. We were able to pick a well-traveled crossing, easily accessible from both sides, and cross unobserved by federal agents. Just six miles from our crossing is Interstate 10, and from there, the rest of the country. Do you feel safe?”
But the important questions of the day are: Can Clown Prince nobama get a good tee time? Can the Worst Lady, mooch-elle, get enough lobster to satiate her?
Should have had a beer keg on a stretcher painted up to look like a tactical nuke.
then the next stretcher features a coughing black guy with “blood” all over him.
And the stretcher bearers yell back and forth from bank to bank about logistics “in arabic”.
Next time Osama should also maybe lead a camel or two.
Maybe some belly-dancing girls.
Logistically challenging but would enhance the effect.
Notice that O’Keefe had the good sense not to try this stunt while FreeRepublic had its A-Team on the border.

The MSM will get right on reporting this to the American people, Fox News will (MAYBE) dedicate as much as 70 seconds of precious reporting time to this, providing Justin Beber or Miley Cyrus are well behaved.

Whatever happened to W’s promised high tech virtual fence? I think a lot of money went to cronies and it never worked right.

The original plan, known as SBInet, envisioned a system of cameras and sensors which would allow officers to monitor crossings and dispatch Border Patrol agents to catch anyone entering the United States illegally.
Napolitano said her department briefed members of Congress on Friday about the final decision to nix the program “as originally conceived.” But she said DHS will pursue a “new path forward” for security along the 2,000-mile southern U.S. border. The secretary said that while the U.S. cannot provide a “single, integrated border security technology solution,” the new plan will use different technologies in different areas.
