Obama: 'Extremist Ideology' That's Taken Over GOP, 'Balkanization of Media' Has 'Blocked' My Agenda

(VIDEO-AT-LINK)

President Barack Obama said the power of conservative opposition, including in the media, is blocking his agenda in an interview with New York Times columnist Tom Friedman late last week.

“What you’ve seen with our politics, partly because of gerrymandering, partly because of the Balkanization of media so people just watch what reinforces their deepest biases, partly because of big money in politics, is increasingly politicians are rewarded for taking the most extreme, maximalist positions,” Obama told the liberal Times columnist. “Sooner or later, that catches up with you. You end up not being able to move forward on things we need to move forward on. We need to reform our immigration system. That would be good not just for our domestic economy but for our position in the world. You travel around Latin America—nothing would more reinforce an admiration for the United States than us doing that. We need to rebuild our infrastructure. You go to the Singapore airport and then you come back to one of our airports and you say, huh? We’re not acting like a superpower.”

“It’s like going from the Jetsons to the Flintstones,” Friedman agreed.

“Exactly,” Obama concurred. “We need to revamp our education system, K-12 in particular. You look at what Finland’s doing with its kids, and you look at what we’re doing with our kids, and you say, ‘we’re falling short.’(continued)

There’s ONE network out there that sort of disagrees with me. Something must be done!

Obama got BOTH stimuli bills passed and had control of House and Senate for part of his term. He got ObozoCare passed.

Now the Republicans are somehow responsible for blocking any of his agenda?

Didn’t Reagan deal with a Democrat congress?

To the jug-eared jackass, anything sane and rational will be “extremist” to him.

Reagan had a Democrat House, but a GOP Senate for his first 6 years.

So, let’s talk the Finland education system and why it has successes. They basically offer nine years of education, and then you are finished with high school. You either go onto an academic program which has the destiny of college, or you go onto a vocational program which means you learn something of a trade.

Within the US, it means that we’d dismiss thirty percent of all teachers for high schools, get rid of sports within high schools, and open a major trade school in every single county. You want to be a loser at age sixteen...fine...go onto Burger King and don’t worry about a trade.

We’d all stand up to support such a measure...but teachers won’t like it....the NCAA football complex won’t like it...and the general liberal mentality of voters won’t like it. So Finland has their success story and we have our less-than-successful story.

Extremist Ideology that has taken over the Democratic Party. They are Balkanized and so is the Media with their Leftism. Their Agenda is locked in.

So locked in that they can't tack to the Middle.

They are stuck in a position of supporting porous borders and flooding us with illegal aliens. They are locked in by the media with promoting Homosexuality when the public is sick of it. They say that they are anti-war, when Obama just stuck us back into the Quagmire.

Turn the Titles of these articles around and the Truth is out.

Don’t the Germans do much the same thing? Where in the world did we get the idea that EVERY kid needed to go on to college?

I would imagine a larger percentage of “The People” didn’t like your agenda Mr President. I thought you were voted in to serve the people of the USA - not to have your own agenda!

Yep, same deal for Germans. My son went through the episode.

You can add one to two years onto the nine-year program...calling it an extension period...mostly for kids who haven’t figured out a trade or been accepted by any company (a commercial company has to sponsor you...paying you roughly 300-Euro a month...once you enter the trade school program, and you do at least twenty hours of class work a week, and twenty hours of work at the sponsor company)....all for three years. It ends up being something of an associates degree in a trade.

Most European countries run the same scheme. Note, no German school runs sports programs....like football or basketball or baseball. If you want to participate in sports like that....you go to the village or town...sign up for their program, and do it on your own. Schools stay out of sports competition.

“partly because of gerrymandering”

An absolute myth, long since debunked in WaPo and elsewhere.

“partly because of the Balkanization of media so people just watch what reinforces their deepest biases”

90% of which is on YOUR side, dude.

“partly because of big money in politics”

Umm...weren’t you the guy who got all that Wall Street money in 2008?

“is increasingly politicians are rewarded for taking the most extreme, maximalist positions,”

You wrote the book on extremism, dude. Well, actually Alinsky wrote it, but his book appears to be the one thing you DID study in college.

Just as Stalin needed Kulaks to blame for the failures of the Communist Party, Obama and his rats have to have a Republican Party. The rats cannot exist without devious opponents, without a class struggle.

Imaginary enemies are the vital allies of despots.

ideological extremism and maximalist position is much more prominent right now in the Republican Party than the Democrats.

… Barack Hussein Obama

This from the man who declines to comply with his oath of office and enforce the law on the border or anywhere else concerning immigration. This from the man whose Department of Justice has become a model of race bias and politicization. This from the man whose IRS acted to exclude his political enemies from participation in the national debate. This from the man who even before his nomination attempted to intimidate a free press and in some cases to deploy the power of government to censor it. The list of Barack Obama was extremist and maximalist positions is very long indeed.

Obama actually believes his assertion quoted above because he is a communist. Hence he believes that our present constitutional system is corrupt and his vision is righteous. Accordingly, all opposition to him is illegitimate and any means he chooses to effectuate is vision is sanctioned.

Obama also believes that the present system is illegitimate because of race. Hence he believes that opening the borders will redress that violation of human rights and any measures he takes pursuit to his vision are legitimate.

The problem is not politics, the problem is ideology - Obama's ideology.

No, it is the checks and balances of republican government that has checked executive power, as designed.
