I haven’t heard about Maliki staging a coup, but I did hear that the Kurds were heartened by our bombing and retook two towns. Some food and water is being delivered to the mountain refugees and some are being flown out, but it is still a major humanitarian situation. I haven’t heard about the fate of the major hydroelectric dam which supplies much electricity, and if blown could flood Bagdad. Reports say that Al Bagdadi, the ISIS leader is exceptionally viscious and it would really help to kill him as he has no really capable senior lieutenants.
I would bet that before the upcoming weekend...the dam is blown. At that point, it’ll be hard to imagine Baghdad surviving the days after that without massive airlift and supplies. The security of the city is blown at that point.

Second ... Been hearing some rumors but nothing substantial.
Third ... Rumors say we could be all in before all out and with the isis group ... best guess is this time chemical weapons could be used against us.
Fourth ... All is rumor except for the food and water being sent to the people hold up on the mountain.
Fifth ... Some limited strikes are taking place but reports are strikes are having little effect except as you stated in probable moral boosts for Kurdish Fighters.
Sixth ... This is all known that is substantial. Doing what needs to be done is being hamstrung by obama. isis would be best obliterated but to do so would destroy one of obama's armies. At this point, obama is still protecting isis as best as he knows how. obama armed isis and this fight is the fight obama had them wage. Everyone says where is the proof? That answer is simple ... 'Follow the money.'
Reports are that the food and water being dropped was dropped from 15,000 feet without parachutes and exploding when it hits the ground. So it isn’t helping much.
Most of those people are dead and held captive.
