The situation has escalated in Ferguson, Missouri where people have been protesting the police shooting of the unarmed Michael Brown on Saturday night.
This town just North of St. Louis has become a powder keg, starting when the crowd started hurling bottles at a police line they had faced off with earlier tonight.
And now hundreds of idiots, who seem to be a majority in this crowd, have started looting nearly every single business in town.
Don't these people realize they have to wake up to this tomorrow morning? Just insanity.

I’m presuming it was probably close to 100% White at its zenith in 1970. It must’ve ceased to be majority White in the ‘90s, dropped to 45% White in 2000 and 29% White in 2010. By 2020/25, it will be an almost all-Black enclave.

I guess I just can’t put myself into the mindset. Try as I might, no matter how outraged I can envision being about some abuse or excessive use of force, it just does not make sense to me to loot a convenience store. Risk vs. reward is way out of kilter, and it’s not as if they don’t likely already have all that crap courtesy of public assistance.
I don’t believe any insurance covers civil unrest.

I’m nostalgic for the old days..... long before my time, San Francisco in April, 1906, when looters were shot on the spot.
They’re just using the business practice of cutting out the middle men and getting their free stuff direct. The looting is the real reason for the protests the yoot getting killed was just the excuse they needed. We can expect to see this spread quickly over the next few days. The J. Wiely Price arrest could could be a flash point, lots of rich people to loot there.
All the businesses there should close up shop and relocate for safety.
Let the looters build their own businesses to replace them!

I was just thinking about Celine Dion and her stupid statement in the aftermath of Katrina.
