Obama gives Americans one last slap in the face before heading to vacation

Before jetting off for two weeks’ vacation, President Obama laid the blame for the Iraq crisis at the doorstep of the Bush administration.

At a brief press conference Saturday on the White House lawn, Obama scoffed at the notion that he might regret not having left a residual American force in Iraq.

“Under the previous administration, we had turned over the country to a sovereign democratic Iraqi government,” Obama said. “In order for us to leave troops in Iraq, we needed the invitation of the Iraqi government, … and the Iraqi government, based on its political considerations, in part because Iraqis were tired of a U.S. occupation, declined to provide us those assurances.”

Calling it “bogus and wrong” to override the wishes of a sovereign government, Obama failed to take responsibility for his failed leadership, infuriating a host of listeners, including conservative commentator Laura Ingraham. Twitchy compiled multiple tweets on the topic, including these:

Just what is there that you can say about a Pathological Liar like B.Obama.

This individual,I won’t call a man was given a country that was starting to get its act together following the original war with Iraq and the. The Terrorist infiltration.Once that was done Iraq was on its way to a peaceful future.

But our “Leader”Obama went out of his way and subverted everything that the Bush administration. Had done.

If I were a parent or spouse of a dead soldier,Marine or Airman who died serving in Iraq I’d be pissed beyond belief.

This is not the First time the democrats pulled this crap. They also did it in Vietnam where they also stabbed our guys in the back.

Indeed. And all to the fawning love and admiration of the media and senseless populace.

Was it “bogus and wrong” to ignore the wishes of the sovereign government of Libya, or to declare a red line against the wishes of the sovereign government of Syria?

The American People wanted our troops to remain Iraq to continue the five to American Victory.

Obama went against the desire of the American people and the GOP leadership and withdrew from Iraq and now the Christian people of Iraq suffer and Iraq is forever lost.

Barry demonstrates once again for us that he will take credit for everything, but responsibility for nothing.
A man faced with a problem doesn’t point fingers: he sets his shoulders and tackles it.
How did we wind up with this grinning jape, this irresponsible man-child? How did he ever get past “community organizer”?

We fought a war for the right set terms on how Iraq would conduct itself. We paid in blood and treasure. And Obama pretends that it all meant nothing. That his hands were tied... He’s the one who set a date when the US was leaving in no uncertain terms. He did it in the warm up to the 2012 election for political purposes.

He’s a vile evil man.

Did we ask Japan and Germany for “permission” to leave troops there for decades? When you win a war, you have both authority and responsibility for managing the aftermath. If you don’t it will come back and bite you.

Bush should have made it clear the day we invaded Iraq that we would be there for at least the next 20 years.

Didn’t he go to bed while Benghazi was underway? Had to fly to Vegas in the morning to fundraise.

IIRC, He had a ten minute meeting after a basketball function at the Whitehouse and then “disappeared”...per his MO.
