In the 1980s...we had the capability to monitor stuff like this and would have had various guys listening into the radio and phone chatter, had imagery, and signals intelligence. As they cut people, budgets and programs....I’d suspect we’ve basically gone to an internet crowd running the intelligence mechanism and that’s all they care about.
