On this general topic, Obama has always held to the adage that-
“Nobody ever lost an election underestimating the intelligence of the American voter.”
It would be great to see the ‘chickens come home to roost’ by having someone in the Intelligence services call him on this outright insult ... In a match of wits with the experts, POSOTUS would get a rude awakening.
Sadly, he’s right about the American voter, who seems to be getting dumber and more easily manipulated with every election.
That said, Obama is not a smart man. He’s crafty and ideological, but not intelligent.
