Ukraine says stops Russian troops invading, Moscow calls statement 'fairy tale'

Ukraine said on Saturday it had headed off an attempt by Russia to send troops into Ukraine under the guise of peacekeepers with the aim of provoking a large-scale military conflict, a statement Moscow dismissed as a "fairy tale".

A senior aide to Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko said a large Russian military convoy had been heading for the border on Friday under a supposed agreement with the Red Cross, but had stopped after an appeal by Kiev to Russia.

If Kiev gace a damn about their civilians, they would just agree to ceasefire, not one with surrender as a condition.

The rebels have been ready for a cease-fire for months, but surrender isn’t going to be part of it, I think.

The rumored Putin-Merkel ceasefire from a couple of weeks ago fell apart because Parubiy, the Actual Nazi in charge of the “ATO” threatened to resign and turn against the gov if it went through.

As I have said, it is Right Sector/Svoboda that is driving events in Kiev, and they have been since before the coup.

Now here is an interesting Tweet, from just a few minutes ago:
“Ukraine president poroshenko after phone talks with Merkel says ready to accept international humanitarian mission”

I wonder what that means?

“after increasing gains by Ukrainian forces against rebel forces”

Like losing control of the entire Southwest pocket, along with a hundred miles of the Ukraine-Russian border.
This is quite Orwellian.

There are reports of heavy fighting again near Suar Mogilia, the very important heights, with the rebels claiming it has changed hands a couple of times now, in the last two days.

Also heavy fighting being reported near near Krasni Luch, as Kiev keeps trying to cut the roads between Lugansk and Donetsk.

If Kiev gace a damn about their civilians, they would just agree to ceasefire, not one with surrender as a condition.

So they want a Gaza-type cease fire -- you can't fire at me but I can fire at you -- LOL.

The rebels have been ready for a cease-fire for months, but surrender isn’t going to be part of it, I think.

So then what are they willing to give in order to get a cease-fire. What have they got that Kiev needs???

The rumored Putin-Merkel ceasefire

I wasn't aware that Merkel was Prime Minister of Ukraine???

The sick and revealing part about your otherwise lame reply is... it needs to be asked:

If did Putin invade Iowa - whose side would you be on?

<>Also heavy fighting being reported near near Krasni Luch, as Kiev keeps trying to cut the roads between Lugansk and Donetsk.<>

So I guess you missed this:

Ukraine troops surround Donetsk, rebel leader says

Ukrainian forces have seized a key town and are surrounding Donetsk, the largest insurgent-held city in eastern Ukraine, a top rebel commander said Saturday.

The statement by Igor Girkin, a former Russian special services officer, appeared to be a significant admission by the rebels that Ukrainian government forces are gaining the upper hand in the four-month-old fight.

He said the town of Krasnyi Luch, which lies on one of two main roads between Donetsk and the other rebel-held city of Luhansk, “has been taken by the enemy.”

tcr, you really need to keep up or events over there will overtake you and you will become irrelevant here.

“you can’t fire at me but I can fire at you — LOL”

You mean like the MH17 ceasefire that kiev claimed, then pretty much ignored, by launching an offensive into the ceasefire area?

That kind of Gaza “Ceasefire”??

As I have said, many times, Western Media tends to report things a day or two behind.

This is Krasnyi Luch from TODAY, at 19:00 local time
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTxWSTSs9GA&feature=youtu.be

Per numerous Tweets, NAF reinforcements arrived this afternoon, and have pushed Kiev into the suburbs, near a mine, where there is still heavy fighting. The town has changed hands a couple of times in the last 24 hours, it seems.

There is also heavy fighting near a town called Mospino, also along the same route.

Now, if you were really paying attention, you would know that the fight curretly being reported at Saur-Mogila/Saur-Tomb is far more important, for a whole bunch of strategic reasons.

The monument on top has reported to have collapsed due to heavy artillery.

Both sides are claiming to have captured/recaptured it, while several tweets are saying it has become “no-man’s land” between forces.

Here — News from the Battlefront from the horse’s mouth himself:

The self-proclaimed separatist republic of Donetsk is “fully surrounded” Girkin says, before tearing into a brigade of pro-Russian Cossacks.

“The Cossacks, keeping with tradition, ran,” he says while facetiously congratulating them for recent defeats. “They are awaiting new great achievements. The brilliant Donetsk Cossack battle path has been marked by landmark achievements like [their] surrender of Krasnyy Lyman in one day, the surrender without a fight of Poposna, the surrender of Debaltseve, and the surrender without a fight of Fashchivka. Now Krasnyy Luch has joined the list. Hooray! We will wait for new achievements.”

Why don’t we get great reports from the battlefront like this from you???

Instead we have to wait for Strelkov to have a meltdown and come clean.

“The sick and revealing part about your otherwise lame reply”

The sick and revealing part is how you are trying to wrap a strawman into faked patriotism.

Funny, you are the third sock-puppet.. oops.. I mean ID, to have done that in the few days.

Hope that bit of rubbish made you feel better about yout treason.

Speaking of treason...

Was it your parents who fled the Soviet Union (which KGB Putin wants to bring back and whom you fanatically support), or was it your grandparents?

LOl...

I’m sure the guy behind this website you linked knows that “iKorpus” and “iCorpus” are two different websites, one real, and one a kiev propaganda fake, right?

I have pointed this out more than once.

Those kind of questions are posed by screwballs following every crime. Why did Ted Bundy's victims dress as they did? Why didn't victims of the Manson family have better home security?

See, the problem that you can't overcome is that it is just plain wrong (malum in se) to shoot down an airliner full of innocent men, women and children. There isn't any "other side" to that story. It's just inherently wrong.

Now, you may not understand that reality and Putin may not understand that reality. It may bewilder both of you that the rest of the world is so offended by the slaughter of innocent people. But, the rest of the world understands..
