The Yizidis, taking cover in the mountains with nothing to
protect themselves with, just goes to show the American public, if they’re watching and listening, the Second Amendment is very important to the American Way of Life. The poor Yizidis just have rocks to throw, if that.

This brings up an idea that struck me earlier: Congress (primarily the House, I suspect) is being accused of being a do-nothing Congress, and indeed they did leave town with a lot on the table. The Conservative and Tea Party Congress-critters in DC should have proposed a motion to stay at work until various goals were met. Obviously, they would fail in this effort, and we may indeed be better off with Congress out of town, but at least the real Conservatives could say they’d tried...
As a small business owner, I’m lucky to get a day or two “away” for a low-budget trip to a local campground, and sometimes even those days include some business work, so I have no sympathy for Obama at all!
