Speaker Boehner on U.S. Airstrikes in Iraq
House of Representatives ^ | Friday, August 8, 2014 | Speaker John Boehner

Posted on 08/08/2014 6:51:44 AM PDT by kristinn

WASHINGTON, DC – House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) today issued the following statement on U.S. operations in Iraq:

“The president’s authorization of airstrikes is appropriate, but like many Americans, I am dismayed by the ongoing absence of a strategy for countering the grave threat ISIS poses to the region. Vital national interests are at stake, yet the White House has remained disengaged despite warnings from Iraqi leaders, Congress, and even members of its own administration. Such parochial thinking only emboldens the enemy and squanders the sacrifices Americans have made. The president needs a long-term strategy – one that defines success as completing our mission, not keeping political promises – and he needs to build the support to sustain it. If the president is willing to put forward such a strategy, I am ready to listen and work with him. For now, I wish Godspeed to all our men and women participating in these operations.”

What do you think they do with all that money? They are the biggest financiers of international terrorism in the world. They are just real good at keeping their friends close and their enemies even closer.

Iran is the biggest state sponsor and funder of terrorism. They are the archenemy of the Saudis, which is why they quietly support Israel.

The Saudis have worked closely with us on a variety of issues often acting as our surrogates. They are also a major trading partner. They are not our enemy.

As the well-coordinated, Russian and Militant Muslim giant military pincer maneuver continues to rapidly succeed for control of the Eastern Mediterranean formerly Sovereign Nations, will NATO’s Turkey soon have to decide if Obama’s failed “Pen and Phone, Whack-a-Mole” Military Exceptionalism, is better or worse than Putin or ISIS?

Control of the Eastern Mediterranean and the Suez Canal by Russia’s Navy would allow the free flow of Muslim Militant’s Oil to the Russian-controlled Ukraine Oil Pipelines to Europe, at a mutually beneficial price to Putin and ISIS, of course.

“The Saudis have worked closely with us on a variety of issues often acting as our surrogates. They are also a major trading partner. They are not our enemy. “

Many of the 9/11 hijackers were Saudi.
And ever hear tell of “Taqiyya”?
They may ACT like they are our friends, but trust me, they are NOT in any way shape or form our friends.
It is simply expedient for them to assist us, for now.
Once it no longer serves THEIR interests, well, it won’t be pretty.

I spent five years in the Kingdom

Kingdom Schmingdom...just another deceptive tactic of trying to make Saudi Arabia appear "Western" by calling it a "Kingdom."

The problem is that dealing with Isis is not on the schedule and fitting it in is a hardship for those with the leash

“They are not competitors.”

Shows what you know about Islam.
Yes, they are competitors.
Iran has the “holy city of Qom”, their Shiite shrine where the Twelvers hope the Muslim messiah, the Mahdi, will appear to spread blood and destruction to the infidel.
Saudi Arabia has Mecca, where supposedly Mohammed was handed a moonrock by Allah.
[Allah being a pre-Islamic pagan moon deity..]
So you have the Shias in competition with the Sunnis, Sufi, Wahhabi, etc..

Right, both have the ultimate goal of bringing about a Caliphate with their particular brand of Islam.

Kingdom makes it sound Western? What the Hell are you smoking? Here are some non-Western countries that have Kingdom in their name. I think it has something to do with the fact that they have a king. Duh!

Kingdom of Bahrain

Kingdom of Bhutan

Kingdom of Cambodia

Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

Kingdom of Lesotho

Kingdom of Swaziland

Kingdom of Thailand

Nothing to be sorry about. You should have just said, “I don’t know what I am talking about and can’t answer your question.” So you can now FO. Cheers.

So you have the Shias in competition with the Sunnis, Sufi, Wahhabi, etc..

So are Catholics and Protestants competitors? Or Jews?

These "competitors" still go on the Haj to Mecca and Medina at the same time. They pray together. 10% of Saudi Arabia is Shi'a. About 90% of Islam is Sunni.

AQ has targeted the Saudi Royal family. Bin Laden called for the removal of the Saudi Royal family in his fatwahs.

So? AQ is a dog on a leash. Sometimes the dog comes back to bite its master.

Open up the records and see how much of a wonderful friend SA has been to US.
