The US should bomb the Islamic State, gain control of the Mosul Dam, and arm our friends the Kurdish Peshmerga to defend the Kurds, Christians, Yazidis and other religious minorities. Forget a united Iraq. The Kurds should have their own nation.
Forget about “Islamic Democracy” and the “Arab Spring”. That has led to Gaza, the Muslim Brotherhood, and the terrorist uprisings in Syria and Libya. Rule by Kings and more secular military dictators has been better for most Arabs, and particularly non-Salafist minorities.
