The democrats' little appointment scheme has backfired. Baucus retired early so the governor could appoint Walsh to give him a leg up for November.
Now they're screwed!!

The Dems have no choice to but replace Walsh.
Otherwise the seat is a guaranteed GOP pickup.

Isn’t “plagiarism” considered a positive characteristic for a Dem candidate?
Don’t understand the fuss....

Former Montana Gov. Brian Schweitzer (D) has been mentioned by some Democrats Doesn't matter that Schweitzer passed on the race earlier this year. The dems will tell him the good of the Party is at stake... and for democrats, nothing.. absolutely NOTHING trumps the good of the beloved Party.

Dems mull replacement options for Walsh (Montana Senate Seat) In a state like Montana, who could run successfully as a 'democrat', when that is a synonym for 'gun grabber'?

Walsh has been training from the beginning... I would not be in the least bit surprised if the dems set him up for this fall, so they could replace him with a sure win in Schweitzer.
