Liberian Dies in Morocco of Ebola - Internal Affairs Minister Discloses
allAfrica ^ | 8/1/2014 | Abraham S. Sollie

The Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Morris Dukuly, has disclosed that a Liberian has died of the deadly Ebola virus in Morocco.

[....]

As a means of containing further spread of the disease, President Johnson-Sirleaf set up a taskforce to help in the fight of the disease and ordered the closure of the country's three land borders.

The Liberian leader also ordered that public gatherings be restricted and communities heavily affected by the Ebola outbreak be quarantined.

Making the disclosure at a news conference held at the Ministry on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, Minister Dukuly, who is also the Vice Chairman on the National Ebola Taskforce, further disclosed that the deceased left the country two days before his death.

Although Minister Dukuly did not disclose the name of the Liberian, who he said died of Ebola in Morocco, he averred that this means that there are many more people who are carrying the disease unknowingly.

Although this was announced several days ago, this is the first I've seen that an Ebola death has occurred on Moroccan soil.

In contrast to the Sawyer case in Nigeria, almost nothing is known about the circumstances surrounding this death.

Thus, by my reckoning (not the best) there have been Ebola deaths in three countries outside of the original hotzone: Morocco, Nigeria, and Saudi Arabia (not officially confirmed, but no denial that the death announced yesterday was in fact Ebola).

I wonder if they’ll discover that Muslims are getting it on more than us unclean western infidels. And that is causing the spread of Ebola.

Meanwhile WHO and CDC are worse that useless. By pretending to be the authorities but not taking sufficient steps to stope the spread, they cause others who could take steps to defer action.

Miguel Pajares, 75, after he was repatriated on a specially-adapted Airbus plane from Liberia in west Africa... put in quarantine on Saturday after testing positive for the killer disease.... had been treating patients infected with Ebola at a hospital his Catholic humanitarian group runs, was flown back to Spain accompanied by a nun.

Am I the only one who is bothered by the seeming overconfidence shown by medical spokespersons on the news regarding Ebola? It almost seems as if they are deliberately downplaying the danger. I think I would feel more confident if they showed a little more concern but went into more detail about what makes them say that we can handle it and prevent a major outbreak in this country. I just don’t like all this talk about how it is no big deal. I am not in the medical field in any capacity but I am a realist and I do know that if it reaches a certain level there is no possible way to deal with it because there are just not enough facilities and personnel available. We have too few doctors and nurses as it is. I suspect the number of cases required to overload and cripple the system is in reality frighteningly small. Am I overly concerned? I would welcome any reassurance from anyone who has more info than I have.

Also I am wondering about possible avenues of transmission, some say that it is not easily spread while others seem to believe that it is already spreading by airborne contact. If the latter is in any way true what is to stop it from becoming the worst worldwide epidemic ever?

I can’t help recalling how I nearly died at age 24 from the “Hong Kong” flu which had a very low, less than one percent, death rate but killed a million or so people worldwide. I endured some of the worst pain I have ever known in my life, I remember saying that I felt as if a strong man had beaten me from head to foot with a large stick, everything hurt from head to toe and all the way to the bone and I was delirious and hallucinating from the fever which hit 105. I have had appendicitis and it was awful but not nearly as long lasting as that bout of flu. Cortisone stopped the pain and nausea of appendicitis very quickly and I still have an appendix but nothing relieved the flu pain except time.

Probably Ebola is a new technique used by the goreball warming folks to shrink the size of populations and thus save the earth.

Once it gets off the continent, all bets are off. Humans, while we can get Ebola, are not supposed to be the primary host. Which in the past has meant it burns itself out due to lack of a sustainable host.

“Am I the only one who is bothered by the seeming overconfidence shown by medical spokespersons on the news regarding Ebola?”

Hardly, 100 people have died wearing PPE & using procedures recommended by the CDC. That in of itself is criminal. But think about how effective the equipment is for these people. Apparently they are not protected very well and the risk is much greater than we are being told.

No, you are not alone. Here’s a good quote for you:

War, Famine and Pestilence all obey the laws of physics. The media, government and the academy have heretofore cared about the laws of political correctness and the tyranny of appearances. Now we get to see who wins. In recent years it has become fashionable to claim the Narrative trumps reality. Yet you can’t bribe viruses, can’t “hide” infectious victims, can’t appease dictators and you can’t print money. As I’ve written many times before, nobody beats arithmetic.
