Where did I name Poland?

I didn't. You did.

My comment was based upon the conduct of US foreign policy from the end of WWII through 1990. I remember the lengths the US was willing to go - the tens of thousands of US killed and wounded and treasure spent - during that period defending nations from Russian encroachment if you don't.

Have a day.

Do forgive me, I thought your post related to the subject of the article, Poland, rather than to the general state of affairs within the United States.

I stand corrected.

I'll try one more time.

It is my opinion that Poland - today's free Poland (not Poland behind the iron curtain, not Poland prior to WWII, not Poland during the first, second or third Mongol invasions) under US cold war foreign policy from 45 through 90, would have been staunchly supported. As we supported other nations with arms, aid and in some cases, US bodies all around the world.

No where did I write what you seem to have read - that the US has always provided Poland, specifically, with the means to defend itself.

Ah, the bigger picture, "would have been", and so on.

Gordon at Khartoum would have been staunchly supported between '45 and '90, too. Unfortunately he was trapped by the Mahdi somewhat too early I'm afraid. I see your point, "there was a time".

Like "Britain rules the waves", "Blood and Iron", that sort of thing. All just a historical accident that when they need help it's a bit early or late. Shame, but there's nothing for it, as they say.

Thank you so much.
