So when some future Presidents ignores the “liberty amendments” what do you do then?

The Democrats in Congress particularly, for the moment, couldn't care less, because Obama's advancing their agenda. Their agenda matters more than the Constitution.

That IS their agenda, destroying the Constitution. They are like Hamas when it comes to Israel. Given the first chance to completely destroy it, they will take it in a heartbeat.

In 2010, republicans gained 700 legislative seats and 19 legislative chambers. I hope we match that this November. Then we can make some changes!

Three states have officially called for a convention of states already, and we’ll probably see many more next year.

One does not preclude the other.

I usually don’t watch the national news because it just irritates me.

I made an exception yesterday as I was interested in what was happening in Gaza. I was flipping between ABC, CBS and NBC. As I changed to one channel there was an old B&W of Nixon and something about Watergate.

These masters of deceit just cannot let Watergate go. As the Bible says, they ignore the log in their eye and go on and on about the mote in a Republican’s eye, and Nixon was not even very conservative.

Article V ain't gonna happen. If it does, it would be a disaster for liberty. The same two political machines that control the current governmental processes would control this process if it were to happen. I know it is supposed to be run by the states but so was the Mississippi Senatorial primary. How did that purely state run event work out for liberty? Did the fact that it was a Constitutionally mandated state responsibility, stop the national party from getting involved? Sorry but you aren't going to beat the Oligarchy by playing their game.

Also, I don't get why people criticize Boehner for saying he won't impeach the President. To me this is a brilliant move. It just means that with what we currently know he can't do it. It doesn't mean that it is inconceivable that he ever would. If Obama grants blanket amnesty this fall, Boehner could say, "I had no idea in my wildest dreams that he was going to act in such a lawless manner. We are now open to the option of impeachment."

I love Levin, listen to him every weeknight, bought and read the Liberty Amendments and was totally on-board with pushing for this process as a last resort.

But Obama and his regime and the Ruling Class GOP has changed my mind.

The fact no one wants to admit and understand is this - IT IS TOO LATE for any civil solution to this coup we suffered.

If the current government can ignore, disregard and void the Constitution - WHY THE HELL would we assume that passing Amendments to reign in this dictatorship and oligarchy are going to be followed and respected either????

They won’t.

Do we NOT understand that this government is completely ‘lawless’??? What good will passing more ‘laws’ have on lawless rulers?

The “law” is now whatever the rulers say it is.

Look at the overturning of Homosexual marriage bans. The States could ratify an Amendment for term limiting every member of Congress and the courts would overturn it as ‘unconstitutional’ and this government will simply choose to ignore the ‘law’ as they see fit.

We can proceed with an Amendment V process - but we would have to expect and understand that such Amendments would have to be implemented after conflict and resolution, or implemented by force. There is no civil solution to where we have arrived.

I fear by the time we realize this truth - most Americans will be in chains.

much of the proposals are not related to Presidential action, but limiting Federal control at all. For example, returning Senate appointments to the state legislatures to retain balance of power as intended. I suppose appointed Senators might be more likely to remove an impeached president than elected officials.

I’ve spent a lot of time asking myself that same question: how could these things happen in this country?

I’ve also spent some time praying to God asking for an answer.

It’s obvious that Satan is having a field day with this country right now. Have we become so evil that God has turned His back on us? I sure hope not.

Part of this is that nobama and his minions have figured out that we’re a bunch of law abiding citizens who are, rightly, not inclined to fight. They are taking advantage of us. They are pushing hard. I imagine they’ve had meetings to discuss exactly how hard and how far we can be pushed before we push back. They have probably concluded, correctly, that at first the push back will come from easily put down small groups. I wonder if they have considered what will inevitably happen when the small groups become large groups?

Excellent thoughts that I sadly have to concur with.

This truth needs to be understood - you cannot defeat an oligarchy by playing in the system they have corrupted for themselves.

And they have corrupted IT ALL.

We must recognize and conclude that this government no longer has any legitimate authority over us, and refuse to comply and submit to it. That will force the tyrants to act as all tyrants do to those who dare defy them.

Liberty has to be fought for.

Sadly, we sat on our hands and let it be stolen from us without even so much as a whimper.

quite possibly. My only nitpick is that a Constitutional Amendment cannot be deemed unconstitutional, as it is the constitution. An amendment would, however, have to be written in a way it could not possibly be reinterpreted. You are right in many ways, it may be too late to fix.

-— Article V ain’t gonna happen. If it does, it would be a disaster for liberty -—

All this convention can do is propose amendments to the Constitution.

These amendments would still have to be ratified by the states, like all other proposed amendments.

The advantage is that an amendment to institute congressional term limits could be passed, something which Congress will NEVER do.

It's obvious you haven't read the Liberty Amendments.

Here is a Summary.

What do you think 2.6 billion rounds of hollow-point ammunition, MRAP tanks and APCs to local police departments are for?

They are not for infiltrators to our country you must understand.

They are for the small groups you indicated, and for the large groups that they have already war-gamed as an inevitable counter to their coup.

If legal state Amendments banning homosexual marriage can be rendered null and void - what makes you think they cannot do the same thing with anything an Amendment V convention of the states would ratify????

There IS NO CIVIL SOLUTION to stopping this coup. And let’s be honest, that is what has happened to us.
