Who, indeed?

Fair enough. Of course, I intended my question be limited to political options.

By the time we get to the phase inherent in your graphic, we will be faced with serious civil disorder and substantial threats both internal and external. Will the militia be able to tell the difference between the good guys and the bad guys when families are going hungry and limited medical services and supplies are in great demand?

Fortunately, the good guys outnumber the bad. Perhaps the key is how well each local community is prepared to deal with the strain. It seems clear that life in the larger cities will be difficult.

14th has no purpose. and i agree the 16th, 15th, 14th, 13th all are not necessary amendments to the constitution because none of them actually amend anything in the constitution. by 1865 numb nuts had already taken over. Congress could and should have abolished slavery wo any amendment to the constitution. the constitutions slavery clause is for counting slaves for the purpose of allocating voting districts in the house.

the 16th, however only imposes a tax on incomes from sources derived. it did not allow taxes on wages. that is the entire creation of the (unlawful) supreme court when it created a law and decided Glenshaw Glass and redefined what the meaning of the word income is (is).

I commented yesterday on another forum that our problems with too much FedGov really got started in the Wilson era.

Wilson certainly gave the US its first push down the road toward tyranny. I haven’t read any of his works and don’t intend to, but I understand his Congressional Government was a progressive slam against the Framer’s separation of powers, which is the foundation of our rights. Its probably fair to say that Wilson is the intellectual father of almost all radical campus professors today.

Republics are delicate. They must be continually nurtured, or they will slip into democracy and devour themselves. Once the people lose sight of their God given rights, and that the purpose of government is to secure those rights, it is all downhill toward a despotic end.

I don’t hold out much hope, but the Framers gave us a peaceful means in Article V to deal with tyranny.

Obama would point to them as the cause of the problem and obvious justification for his next 50 dictatorial escapades.
