Well, poll numbers are pretty accurate and been confirmed by numbers. WE claim based on some good solid facts that the GOP is out of touch with ordinary Americans. Demographics are against us. More people vote Dim than GOP. Social issues are moving decidedly Left.

Elections are the proof, polls are just indicators. So, lets look at election results.

The GOP controls:

So, based on election results in federal and statewide elections I don't think the claim "more people vote Dim than GOP" can be sustained. ?

Yeah, the time for this doom and gloom was when the token president’s party controlled Congress. The House, which is much more responsive to public sentiment (as the whole House is up for re-election every two years), would indicate the Dems have problems as well. Should they lose the Senate as well (which is slower to change hands, due to the fact that only 1/3 is up for re-election every two years), then Americans have sent a clear message that the Dems in fact are out of touch.

Black indifference due to their worsening lot since Obama’s election, and youth angst over lack of opportunities, should serve the Republicans well. Hopefully Saturday Night Live and Jon Stewart won’t be able to win so many over to the Dem ticket this time around...
