I am a very good shot with a rifle and fit enough to hike for days with enough water and food...but not such a good plumber or builder or mechanic.

Still love the Alaskan life-style.

Did some mountaineering in Vermont in winter. Love the cold, but not sure I could survive in Alaska.

Sounds like you might like some sort of guided hiking/hunting trip.

I live in town. My biggest adventure anymore is navigating to and from work on heavy snow days.
