Azerbaijan has reduced the oil transit through Russia at 40%
Azerbaijan in the first seven months of the year reduced the oil transit through the port of Novorossiysk on 40.5% YOY to 593.025 tons, reported the State oil company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).
In 2013, the country's exports to Russia fell to 1.75 million tons compared to 2.06 million tons in 2012-nd.
According to the agreement with the Russian pipeline operator Transneft, this year SOCAR exports via Russia 1-1, 5 million tons of crude oil.
In May last year to press Russia abrogated agreement on the transit of Azeri oil through their territory, from 1997 onwards.
In February 2014-WOW was concluded a treaty with a new, distinct "Transneft", on which oil is supplied to world markets through Novorossiysk.
