Don’t screw this up, GOP senators tell their House counterparts

Senate Republicans have a message for House Republicans: Don’t screw up before Election Day.

After fumbling primaries in the past, the GOP believes it will win a majority in the upper chamber this fall — as long as the party can avoid self-inflicted wounds.

To do that, Senate Republicans want their colleagues in the lower chamber to play ball and not hand Democrats anything that could turn out the opposition’s base or turn off independent voters. Senate Republicans have put subtle pressure on House members to avoid a messy fight over the border bill, impeachment or a government shutdown. Democrats have recently used the latter two gleefully for fundraising.

“I think the Democrats are looking for every opportunity to change the subject to something more advantageous for them,” Senate Republican Conference Chairman John Thune (S.D.) said. “We have to be smart about how we respond to things that they put forward.”

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has warned that Republicans could try to provoke another government shutdown in the fall or impeach President Obama.

Veteran Senate Republicans say GOP colleagues on the other side of the Capitol should not take the bait, nor should firebrands in their own conference.

“They’re saying, ‘Let’s not make any stupid mistakes here.’ That’s the message that moves back and forth, generally. ‘Let’s not undermine our candidates out there,’” Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) said.

Senate Republicans think House Republicans keep fueling the fire.

Rep. Ted Yoho (R-Fla.), for example, recently argued that the House should pass legislation to secure the southern border and move to impeach Obama if he failed to enforce it.

Senate republicans have some nerve after a year and a half of openly undermining conservatives in both the House and Senate and openly working to destroy and "crush" conservatives across the country!

You see, all they care about is their precious Senate. That's what's important to them. Not liberty, not conservatism, not the people, just getting a majority in the Senate, so Mitch McConnell can FINALLY have his beloved prize.

Oh, and they’re also laying the groundwork to AGAIN blame conservatives for the republicans not winning the US Senate.

But they won’t talk about Tommy Thompson, Rick Berg, Heather Wilson, Carly Fiorina, Denny Rehberg, Connie Mack, Pete Hoekstra and George Allen.

I got two things for these a-holes in the US Senate to explain:

1. Mississippi
2. Mark Mayfield

Until they address these 2 matters, they can F themselves.

Look at McConnell’s first vote last night, before
he changed it. This heralds the following:

The EXEMPT DNC will continue to milk the pseudoimpeachment
they discuss over and over as they mobilize their voters,
live and dead and illegal.

The EXEMPT GOP will do nothing, as usual, except assent,
accept, and encourage continued fraud and corruption,
as they selfservingly get richer, as they lie
and deceive their own voters.

They continue to use the same strategy: We will be fine if we don’t stand for anything. It worked so well I’m the last two presidential elections that they figure to use it again.

It is the Republican base they should be worried about. Let the Dems tend their own flock. If the conservative base continues to be disenfranchised and dispirited by the compromising policies of Senate Republicans they will not show up at the polls.

The cowards in the GOPe don’t deserve conservative votes. Conservatives are too intelligent to be serfs on the Republican manor.

"Establishment Republicans" threw away the Mississippi Senate Seat that is being held by LIAR Thad Cochran.
I'm a hard line Conservative, and I'm voting to throw the "Establishment Republican" Thad Cochran out on his rear.
If Chris McDaniel is not on the general ballot, I'm voting for the 'Rat !
I'll vote against the 'Rat next time.

RINO Thad's got to go !

My response would have been, "too late for that, you guys have seen to it already."

‘Let’s not undermine our candidates out there,’” Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) said.

See, now that they have ALL their candidates safely nominated or renominated (with the final two next week), with the Tea Party successfully “crushed,” they want us all to go away and shut up, except on election day, when they want us all to dutifully vote for them and their hand-picked minions.

Incredibly, that is what certain FR posters are trying to convince me.

Rory Bricco
If you are State District 81 I strongly suggest you replace our current follow me rep Moody, with a LEADER not a follower. He opposes amnesty, is Pro Life, 2nd A, 5th gen farmer, businessman, and a Constitutional Conservative, Christian.
Rory Bricco http://www.rorybricco.com/endorsements.php

Now, we have the opportunity to knock off another Washington insider RINO Lamar Alexander who sides with Obama 62% of the time.

If you have not voted yet these 3 LIBERAL judges need to be replaced. Connie Clark, Sharon Lee, Gary Wade. I voted NO to retain any of them. I know nothing about how they think. These 3 like 0’care, and very LIBERAL. They have hired top 0 political operatives to run their campaigns.

Yeah, right.

The last polling I heard of concerning Obummer’s handling of immigration was about a 31% approval. Even Dims want the invasion stopped. So House Republicans should walk on eggshells and not demand the immediate deportation of the invaders and repeal of DACA just so Senate Republicans won’t be forced into taking any meaningful votes on border enforcement?

Rhetorical questions for the Senate GOP: When did capitulation become a strategy?

Yeah, I know, the enemedia hates the GOP, even the RINO wing. They hated Reagan even more and he was able to talk over them. It is a quality called leadership. Ever hear of it?
